Was not a member of the Valladolid program as I just was not able to make that happen. However, I did graduate with degrees in Spanish, and Latin American Studies from IUP in 1977, and was happy to see some posts on this site from some former classmates, such as "El Senor Lobo", "Megita", and Bill Boyer, who were all in many classes with me(and probably cannot forget Mrs.Guardiola's Jarabe Tapatio dance performance). My son did a semester abroad(in Australia) while he was an undergraduate, and the benefits of studying in another country(even one where English is spoken) were real. If I had to do it over again I'd try harder to have been part of the Valladolid experience. In any event, it was a lot of fun reading about the program, and the people. I am working in the Claims field, have done so pretty much since graduating from IUP and have had many opportunities to speak Spanish over the years. My IUP education has in come handy.
